Best Beaches and Sunshine #fuerteventura

We are so lucky to run our retreats in Fuerteventura. It’s such a beautiful place with the best and most stunning beaches.

We have done a lot of travelling in our time, and we can honestly say that Fuerteventura’s beaches are some of the best we have ever seen.

Bold statement? Not at all.

Although this is obviously a matter of opinion, we haven’t yet come across a guest that doesn’t agree.

Miles of Golden sand beaches and crystal clear blue waters, we are definitely spoilt.

Not only does Fuerteventura offer a variety of breath-taking beaches that we can choose to do our workout sessions on, but we venture between coastlines too.

This way our guests get to have a little road trip, workout on a different beach each day and most of all, experience the wonderful array of beaches this delightful island has to offer.

What more can you ask for?


Sunshine…

Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands, is known for its year-round hot weather - averagely ranging between 20°-28ºC.

Yes, of course we do also have cloudy days and rain (this is quite rare), but generally, the sun is shining and it makes the workouts even more enjoyable… especially when you can top up your tan at the same time you are sweating ;)- Multitasking is the best !!!

As you will see below, I have put together some pictures of the beaches that we workout at.

The Fit Retreat - Bodyweight Workout & Exercises

We love a good full-body workout using only bodyweight. Getting the heart pumping, a rather large "sweat on" and trying to have as little rest as possible.

At our retreats most of the workouts consist of bodyweight and exercises using functional equipment.

Another factor that is also quite challenging and people don't really take into concideration before joining us, is the surroundings.


Most of our guests are not used to having a workout on the beach. Taking your average workout and then being able to do it in deep or flat sand is challenging in itself, also taking into consideration the climate.

All of these elements make such a difference to the workout and although it's tough, your body will adapt quite quickly and by the end of the week you will be surprised how much fitter you will feel compared to when you arrived.

Energy levels will be higher
Rest time between exercises will be shorter
Improved cardio levels
Increased fitness and strength
Learning simple and effective techniques
Feeling confident

This CAN all be achieved in a week.
